-Auto injury or self trauma.
-By contact: with another athlete, with instruments or sports equipment.
+ Sports injuries, the "typical" or chronic ones:
-There are injuries that affect the locomotor apparatus and they usually are repetitive and cumulative.
- Muscular injuries: they are caused by external factors (bruises and wounds) and those produced by internal factors (distensions, tears, pulls or muscle breaks).
-Ligament injuries: a bad movement or even a blow can cause a sprain, a strain or a rupture of the ligaments of the ankle, knee, and so on. There are different degrees that mark the severity of the injury.
-Lessions of bones: a strong trauma can cause a fracture of bone of greater or lesser degree (fissures) whose period of healing is usually more extensive than the rest of injuries.
In addition to fractures, other bone problems may occur, such as uneven growth, bone wear or periostitis, or inflammation of the periosteum (the membrane that lines the bone).
-Joint injuries: frequent in ball sports (basketball, soccer ...), we can talk about joint injuries, dislocations ... they are usually painful and often accompanied by other problems, mainly spills.
